Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how we use and protect the personal data of users, the participants (players, referees, coaches, etc.), and the spectators of amateur sports competitions whose images are recorded (collectively referred to as “you”, “your”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled in a safe and responsible manner on our mobile application (the “Rematch App”) and website (the “Rematch Website”) (collectively referred to as the “Rematch Services”). Capitalized terms used herein without definition shall have the meaning set forth in the Terms of Use.

Please note that at any time, you can request the deletion of your personal data, including your image, by sending an e-mail to contact@rematch-us.tv .

Children’s Privacy

The Rematch Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the Rematch Services, create an account on the Rematch Services, use any of the interactive or public comment features of the Rematch Services, or provide us with any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen name or username you may use. If we learn we may have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we may have any information from a child under 13, please contact us at contact@rematch-us.tv .

Collection of Personal Data.

We collect personal data from and about you, including information you provide, information from other sources, and automatically collected information, as outlined below.

  • Information You Provide. When you create an account, upload content, contact us directly, or otherwise use the Rematch Services, you provide some or all of the following information:
  • Account and profile information, including your name, age, username, password, email, phone number, social media account information and profile image.
  • User-generated content, including comments, photographs, audio recordings, videos, text and hashtags that you choose to upload to the Rematch App or the Rematch Website (whether created by you or others, “User-Generated Content”) and the corresponding metadata. Even if you are not a user, information about you may appear in User-Generated Content published by users of the Rematch Services. When you create User-Generated Content, we may upload or import it before you save or post the User-Generated Content in order to generate captions and provide other personalized recommendations.
  • Purchase information, including payment card numbers or other third-party payment information, where required for the purpose of payment, and billing and shipping address.
  • Your choices and communication preferences.
  • Information to verify an account such as proof of identify or age.
  • Information in correspondence you send to us, including when you contact us for support.
  • Information you share through surveys, research, promotions and marketing campaigns, including your gender, age, likeness and preferences.
  • Information from Other Sources. We may receive the information described in this Privacy Policy from other sources, including in the following circumstances:
  • If you sign up for the Rematch Services using a third-party service, or link your account to a third-party service, we may collect information such as your email and contact list from the service.
  • We may receive information about you from others, including where you are included or mentioned in User-Generated Content, in a complaint, appeal, request or feedback submitted to us, or if your contact information is provided to us.
  • Advertisers and measurement partners share information with us about you and the actions you have taken outside of the Rematch Services, such as your activities on other apps and websites or in stores.
  • Automatically Collected Information. We automatically collect certain information from you when you use the Rematch Services, including internet or other network activity information such as your IP address, unique device identifiers, browsing and search history (including User-Generated Content you have viewed), and Cookies.
  • Usage Information. We collect information regarding your use of the Rematch Services and any other User-Generated Content you generate or upload to the Rematch App or the Rematch Website.
  • Device Information. We collect certain information about the device you use to access the Rematch Services, such as your IP address, user agent, mobile carrier, time zone settings, identifiers for advertising purposes, model of your device, the device system, network type, device IDs, your screen resolution and operating system, app and file names and types, keystroke patterns or rhythms, battery state, audio settings and connected audio devices.
  • Metadata. When you upload or create User-Generated Content, you automatically upload certain metadata that is connected to the User-Generated Content. Metadata describes other data and provides information about your User-Generated Content that will not always be evident to the viewer. For example, in connection with your User-Generated Content the metadata can describe how, when, where, and by whom the User-Generated Content was created, collected, or modified and how that content is formatted. It also includes information, such as your account name, that enables other users to trace back the User-Generated Content to your user account. Additionally, metadata includes data that you choose to provide with your User-Generated Content, e.g., any hashtags used to mark keywords to the video and captions.
  • Cookies. We and our service providers and business partners use cookies and other similar technologies (e.g., web beacons, flash cookies, etc.) (“Cookies”) to automatically collect information, measure and analyze how you use the Rematch Services, including which pages you view most often and how you interact with content, enhance your experience using the Rematch Services, improve the Rematch Services, provide you with advertising, and measure the effectiveness of advertisements and other content. We and our partners also use Cookies to promote the Rematch Services on other platforms and websites.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of our service providers and business partners, and the information practices of these service providers and business partners are not covered by this Privacy Policy.

We may aggregate or de-identify the information described above. Aggregated or de-identified data is not subject to this Privacy Policy.

Use of Personal Data.

We use the personal data of the service’s users, participants, and spectators for the following purposes:

  • To enable users to record key moments of amateur matches and share them online to promote amateur competitions.
  • To ensure the proper functioning of the Rematch Services (including handling user comments/opinions, analyzing service usage, contacting users about the service, managing requests related to access, rectification, objection, and handling personal data after a person’s death, improving the Rematch Services and the related services we offer, resolving disputes, addressing complaints, fixing technical issues, and conducting satisfaction surveys).
  • To send users, provided they have expressly consented, commercial communications about our products, services, and offers.
  • To monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience.
  • To enforce our Terms of Use.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and the rights of others.
  • To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection.

Sharing of Personal Data.

We may share your personal data with third parties in the following circumstances:

  • With service providers. We may share your personal data with third party service providers to monitor and analyze use of the Rematch Services, to advertise on third party websites, and for payment processing.
  • With business partners. We may share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services or promotions.
  • With other users. We may make your profile and videos available to others as you instruct in using our services. If you choose to engage in public activities via the Rematch Services, any information you share may be read, collected or used by other users. You should use discretion when disclosing personal information while using the Rematch Services.
  • With your consent. We may share your data with third parties where we have obtained your express consent to do so.

Legal Basis for Processing.

We process this personal data based on our legitimate interests, which include:

  • Promoting amateur sports by making videos of matches available online that are not otherwise accessible.
  • Creating a genuine video archive of amateur matches.

Geolocation.

The use of the geolocation feature in the Rematch App requires your prior and explicit consent. You must enable, if you wish, the geolocation function directly in your smartphone settings and agree to allow the Rematch App to use it. This feature can be disabled or re-enabled at any time and at no cost.

If you agree to be geolocated, this will allow us to present a list of ongoing matches near you, thereby facilitating your use of additional features.

Retention Period for Personal Data.

We retain a user’s personal data and the videos they have recorded for as long as their account is active.

Before permanently deleting a user’s personal data and videos, we will send an email to the user offering them the opportunity to download their videos to a device of their choice.

By exception, if a participant or spectator requests the deletion of videos in which they appear, we may delete the video without allowing the user to recover it.

Recipients of Personal Data and Transfers.

We transmit the personal data we collect to service providers who support our business (IT providers, logistics partners), including, among others, the following:

  • AppsFlyer. AppsFlyer is a mobile attribution and marketing analytics platform. We use AppsFlyer to understand how users discover and interact with the Rematch Services, measure marketing campaign effectiveness, and provide you with personalized experiences.

  • Firebase. Firebase is an analytics service provided by Google, Inc. You may opt-out of certain Firebase features through your mobile device settings, such as your device advertising settings or by following the instructions provided by Google in their Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

  • HubSpot. HubSpot is a marketing platform that provides software for managing customer relationships, marketing, sales and service. We use HubSpot to manage customer relationships and streamline operations across marketing, sales, and customer service.

Public Authorities.

We may be required to disclose personal data to legally authorized bodies and authorities as part of an investigation into illegal activities that may involve our responsibility, your responsibility, or another user’s responsibility.

Commercial Communications and Opt-Out.

We may send administrative emails to users (emails regarding changes to the Rematch Services’ functionality, the privacy policy, etc.) and, with their prior consent, emails containing offers, promotional information, or newsletters.

Users can opt out of receiving non-administrative emails by e-mailing us at contact@rematch-us.tv or by using the unsubscribe link in the received message.

Your Rights.

You have the right to access, rectify, oppose the processing of your data for legitimate reasons, and the right to data portability, limitation of processing, and the erasure of your data.

Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents have the right to opt out of disclosing information to third parties for the purpose of allowing such third parties to directly market their products and services. [At this time, we do not engage in this type of disclosure.]

Any California residents under the age of eighteen (18) who have registered to use the Rematch Services, and who posted content or information on the Rematch Services, can request removal by contacting us at contact@rematch-us.tv , detailing where the content or information is posted and attesting that you posted it. We will then make reasonably good faith efforts to remove the post from prospective public view or anonymize it, so the minor cannot be individually identified to the extent required by applicable law. This removal process cannot ensure complete or comprehensive removal. For instance, third parties may have republished or archived content by search engines and others that we do not control.

If you wish to exercise these rights, you can email us at contact@rematch-us.tv or press the report button on the videos available on the Rematch Website. You will need to provide proof of identity by sending us a copy of your ID.

Handling of Your Personal Data After Death.

If you wish to define directives regarding the retention, deletion, and communication of your personal data after your death, you can email us at contact@rematch-us.tv .

Cookies and Other Trackers.

We use Cookies and other trackers on the Rematch App and Website. A “cookie” or “tracker” is a small alphanumeric text file that allows access to information stored on a user’s device. Third-Party Websites.

The Service may contain links to other websites operated by third parties. Please note that this privacy policy only applies to personal data we collect on the Service. We have adopted physical, electronic, and administrative security measures, including the use of extended firewalls and passwords, to secure access to your personal data. Additionally, we limit access to personal data to employees who need to know this information to operate, develop, or improve the Service.

We use cookies and other trackers to make the mobile application (“Rematch App”) and the website (“Rematch Website”) collectively referred to as the “Service” easier to use and better tailored to your interests and needs.

A “cookie” or “tracker” is a small alphanumeric text file that allows access to information stored on a user’s device. These files help us recognize a user from one visit to another through a unique identifier. This enhances your browsing experience and improves the functionalities of the platform.

2. What is the lifespan of a cookie or tracker?

Except for technical cookies/trackers, the storage of cookies/trackers on your device requires your consent. By continuing to use the Service after the cookie banner appears on the homepage of the Rematch Website, you consent to the storage of cookies and other trackers on your device.
